General Manager, Sales and Distribution

Edipresse is planning to launch a new and innovative product for the leisure activities market first in Hong Kong and eventually regionally. We are seeking to recruit a key senior member of a new management team which will be responsible for product development and launch. This position is based in Hong Kong is evolving towards international service in the Asian territories.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and selling to potential business customers and distributors.
• Acquisition of corporate customers and distributor customers.
• Development of new and existing accounts
• Integrated within the company with the senior management team you will be responsible for:

         - Prospecting new distribution network.
         - B to B corporate account sales.
         - Day to day competitive analysis.

• The drafting of proposals and developing custom-made marketing programs for key accounts.
• Monitoring sales and strategically developing major accounts and cultivating new business.
• Establish close relationship with key accounts and build major account list with advertising agencies.
• Provide regular and precise forecast reports, account status and field intelligence to clients.

Requirements:

• With a perfect knowledge of Asian and Western cultures
• Degree holder with a minimum 7 years history of success in FMCG, music and entertainment, marketing, advertising or media companies. Strong local contacts and a reputation for excellent client service.
• Knowledge of online retailing programs is a plus.
• Aggressive, self-motivated and fast learning.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and in English. Well-versed in PowerPoint and Excel. Detailed knowledge of distribution networks such as department stores, supermarkets and specialty supermarkets and hypermarkets.
• Demonstrable experience in developing new businesses and conceptualizing and executing appropriate strategies towards the market.
• Able to recruit talented people and grow a team capable of delivering prescribed results.
