Nigel Oakins

Born in London, Nigel Oakins obtained a business degree in advertising and marketing. He has worked in Asia for 27 years mostly in Hong Kong and Thailand. He was CEO of the Bangkok Post newspaper in Thailand for 10 years, where he helped establish Thailand\\\'s leading consumer magazine business in a joint venture with Hachette Filipachi, and has also worked at the IHT and Sing Tao Media group in Hong Kong.

Nigel has been chairman of Blue Mango publishing, Edipresse joint venture partner in Thailand, and publisher of Thailand Tatler since 2002. He also consults for a number leading media companies in Asia including the Hindustan Times group in India.
